Vision Statement:
We aim to be an outstanding, missionary Catholic school, nurturing lifelong learners who aspire to reach their potential best, seeking and serving Christ in all.
Mission Statement:
We will strive to develop each member of our school family, to reach their full potential, in the spirit of St Benedict, teaching and serving one another, through the joy of the gospel.
St Benedict’s is a small school, with small class sizes where every member of staff knows, cares for, and nurtures every child, from the youngest to the oldest. St Benedict’s is a community in the truest sense of the word. We value each individual and have deep relationships with our families and even extended families.
St Benedict’s prides itself on being a caring, nurturing and happy school. We strive to ensure that our children enjoy their learning and we cherish the interactions and relationships that exist between the staff and pupils. This is at the core of everything we do at St Benedict’s.
All our relationships are built on our shared Catholic values and beliefs. Christ’s messages are important to us and we remember that each and every one of us, pupils and staff, are made in God’s image.
Vision
St Benedict’s is also very proud of our school values. The six values we live by in school, through work and play, are based on the word Listen.
L – Learn
I – Inspire
S – Serve
T – Trust
E – Engage
N – Nurture
“Support for pupils’ personal development and welfare is outstanding. The school has a warm and nurturing environment . . . staff and pupils replicate the school’s values, resulting in a shared, positive ethos across the school. There is a strong sense of family.” Ofsted 2019
